strut mounts
has anyone heard of the strut mount being a problem with the mk4 GTI 1.8T??
when i have mine on a lift the struts are like lose or something you can move the strut up and it seems loose.
let me know what u guys think. thanks

Yes the strut mounts and bearings tend to go bad on the following models : GTI, Jetta, Cabrio, and Beetle.
You need to replace the strut mounts and the bearings. The part numbers are:
Strut Mounts....
1J0-412-331-C
Bearings....
1J0-412-249
