turbo charging a 91 rolla

If one were to put a turbo charger on a stock engine for a 91 rolla which is the little 1.6, would the engine be able to withstand everything or would one have to replace everything in the engine and give it stronger rods and crank and such?

Re: turbo charging a 91 rolla

depends how many miles or kms you have on the engine. its a 91 so its prob beat already and adding a turbo u want to make sure the engine is up for it so overhaul it add some performance pulleys, intercooler, oil pumps or whatever else u need with that turbo and its prob going to be alot of money.
