2000 chevy 2500 water noisemotoguzzi-guru1978 11-18-2008, 06:52 PM I have a 2000 chevy 2500 work truck with the 7.4l engine. I have been noticing a sloshing noise when pulling out from a stop. I looked under the truck and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. But when I pull out it sounds like a lot of fluid from the passenger side moving around. Any help in solving this problem would be greatly appreciated. maxwedge 11-18-2008, 07:50 PM In the future post this in the appropriate truck forum below, for now find the ac drain usually under the pass. side cowl area and see if is plugged up. motoguzzi-guru1978 11-18-2008, 08:30 PM thanks for the info. In the future I will be more careful to post to the appropriate forum. j cAT 11-19-2008, 08:45 AM I have a 2000 chevy 2500 work truck with the 7.4l engine. I seen/heard this before , It was air in the coolant....you get this water rushing sound...when accelerating from a stop..usually when coolant still cold.. Now how did this occur ??? I don't wanna go there.. maxwedge 11-19-2008, 03:18 PM Yeh, I see the possibility, if we knew some recent history it would help pinpoint the problem, sorta handicapped in this environment. j cAT 11-20-2008, 10:40 AM Yeh, I see the possibility, if we knew some recent history it would help pinpoint the problem, sorta handicapped in this environment. well maybe he will replly as to what the noise was...normally when the drain is restricted/plugged you get excessive fogging of the windows and the smell of organics decaying..[fowl odors]....
