this 380 sl was getting hard to start after the engine warmed ..then the enging would not turn over when i would try to start it..just seemed to grind like a weak battery ..now i find i have broken timing chain guides .. I removed the covers ( both sides) and i can see the broken pieces.. The chain looks ok.. I bought a bunch of material and manuals to see what i have to do but neither shows the proceedure. Even the mercedes 107 on disk doesnt show how to repair.. Does any body have a suggestion ..I dont want to take the front of the engine off until I am sure ....Thanks ..George:crying:
