I am looking for a new vehicle and the 08 Sentra is on my list but it seems to get mixed reviews. I plan to use the car primarily as a commuter, 80 miles round trip daily, mostly highway. I would really like to hear what those of you driving one think about it especially when compared to the Civic or Corolla as far as reliability and millage.

its decent for what it does. you might as well look into a nissan versa the sedan. it has a little less hp, but you can get one brand new off the lot for less than 10k. great commuter car and has a 6 speed manual. shouldnt be too hard to get it up to speed anyway.

a couple people i know that have the 08 sentras like them. they say its a little more refined and things of that sort. it it however known that the center console by you legon the gas pedal will become warm or hot in the 08 sentra. otherwise people love them with cvt going 80mph at 2500 rpms.
