Question heater control

Hey, Anyone know why my air and heater control blow out of defrost and floor on my 1983 el camino ,i can not get it to come out the air vents.HELP PLEASE,THANKS JOE

Your car uses vacuum motors which move flaps to control the airflow.
You probably have a vacuum leak or disconnected vacuum line going to the heater/vent control unit.

If you can hear a hissing sound in the dash as the car is idling, then the leak is behind the dash. If there is no hissing, then the line is probably loose/leaking in the engine compartment.

try turning your air condishner setting to vent but leave on hot and see if that works.
