#5 Cylinder Dead At Idle

HAVE NO PULSE AT #5 CYLINDER. wHAT SIGNALS THE FUEL INJECTER, . Is it the crank sensor that sends signal to engine control modual which in turn signals the fuel injector ?My electrical diagrams show just 2 wires from the ecm to the fuel injectors is this correct ? Thought there would be common & one wire to each fuel injecter ? Also what voltage is the fuel injector is it safe to put 12 volts across injectors to see if they work ? thanks for the help Fred

Re: #5 Cylinder Dead At Idle

12v and ground the pulsed side, make sure you know which wire is the 12v feed. The ign module is in the circuit for pulsing the injectors also. Wiring diagram at autozone.com, repair guides.
