head gasket

We have torn own to the head because of an obvious leak. I am looking for any recommendations of what to replace while in that deep. It is a 96 with 187,000. My plan is timing chain, belts, water pump, all gaskets of course, and A thermostat. any suggestions? Also anyone know of the approx cost of replacing a cracked head or cost of machining it?

Cool Re: head gasket

have the head checked 1st, to see if it's rebuildable, if it is, have a valve job done and the head surfaced,
if the heads not rebuildable, then a replacement head is in order, the quick price check at Rockauto.com, shows a price of approx $1108.99 (inc. $175 core charge)
good luck with your repairs
