2005 gmc sierra fender trim

i just purchased a 2005 gmc sierra and put s.s. fender trim around the fender wells my question is after the install of the fender trim it has crimps all along the trim part ,,is this normal or should it all look smooth as it goes down the fender well thanks.

yes thats the right part.. the part that is crimped(or wrinkels) is where the screws are that fastens the trim to the metal. and i had a dealer install the part so i guess he will be doing it again. thanks for your help..
