I just got my 2nd contour and i would like to know is there some way to find out what options were installed when it was new from the dealer.

is there some way to use the VIN to get that information?

Re: how can i find out what options were installed

The VIN will only tell the World Manufacturer Identifier, type restraint system, Body type, engine code, Model year code, assembly plant and production sequence number.

The Vehicle Certification (VC) Label is on the door jamb and several body parts. The VC will tell you the Exterior Paint Code, Body type, Brake type, Moulding codes, Interior trim codes, radio type codes, sunroof/moon roof codes, type of transmission and transaxle codes and District codes in which it was manufactured. If there is no VC label on the door jamb it may have been wrecked and not transferred over.
