What could be causing my 94 Saturn SL1 to smoke real bad when i first press on the accelerator?

Depends on what color the smoke is but I'll guess that it's probably blue smoke. In that case, worn piston rings allowing oil into the combustion chamber.

Clean your EGR. Replace your ECTS (2-wire connector).

Do a MMO soak.
