Smile Cabriolet brochure on ebay!

Yugo convertible brochure

Here's a brochure for the ultra rare, ultra cool Yugo Cabrio!

to quote seller: "The Cabrio was the sportiest Yugo. It was a convertible with a 1.3 litre engine and "ground effects" skirts and spoiler. The brochure quotes a top speed of 96 mph and a 0-60 time of 12.4 seconds. "

Top speed of 96mph I can vouch for, as my GVX uses the same 1300cc engine, but 0-60 in 12.4 seconds?

96mph? really? lets see... thats about 153kph

At an acceleration of 9.8meters/s/s (or 36feet/s/s), it'll take about 10.62 seconds to reach 153 kph, over a distance of 1957.25 meters (or 1.18 miles)...

now considering wind resistance... hmm. anyone know the drag coefficiant on a GVX? presuming it doesn't flip over while falling...

You sure are smart... for somebody that drives a model car!

Under it's own power, not from gravity (like the Yugo in my sig) it'll reach 96mph on a flat surface (as in: not the side of a cliff), I'm told that the GV+ with it's 67hp engine will reach 100mph, but I can't say that this is true from expierence.

Y'know I never saw the big deal with the Cabrio- I mean for MUCH cheaper I could just buy a GVX, cut the roof off and put a rubbish bag over the gaping hole- same effect- only cheaper:finger:

Strangely enough I think I've seen somebody do this (though they saved the roof as a clip on hard top!)

Problem? nothing a couple yards of duct tape can't fix.
