Cassette Player528alb 10-10-2008, 08:09 AM I saw a thread on here that was about the same problem I'm having, but I never saw a solution, so I'm posting again. I have a 99 Chevy Tahoe, and I have NEVER used the cassette player since I've had it (2-1/2 years)!! I bought an cassette adaptor to play my music from my ipod some months ago, but never used it. I was preparing for a long trip recently, and tried using the cassette player, but to my dismay it won't play ANY cassettes!!!! It will just kick it back out. It doesn't even seem like it's turning the spindle that's inside. Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this problem other than replacing the whole unit, 'cause that's REALLY not an option for me right now, with money being as tight as it is. :banghead: jdmccright 10-10-2008, 11:31 AM Use an FM adapter to transmit your iPod over an FM frequency. Some even hook up to your antenna plug to improve reception and reduce noise. A new cassette deck will set you back abt $80 whereas an adapter is about $25-$30. IMO, the separate deck was the worst option GM thought of. I'm already looking for aftermarket units to replace my POS. j cAT 10-11-2008, 11:25 AM I saw a thread on here that was about the same problem I'm having, but I never saw a solution, so I'm posting again.
