1991 4Runner Shifting Problem91-4runner 10-09-2008, 02:47 PM hey i own a 1991 4 runner sr5 3.0, manual tranny i had a valve job done about a week ago, a day after i had picked up my 4 runner it gradually became harder to shift between gears. it has progressed to were i know either put it in gear before i start or turn off the engine so 1st can engage. the same goes for reverse, as for the other gears i have to force the gears/shift. when my truck is off i can shift thru all the gears with out a problem does anybody know what i can do or if i need a new clutch? any advice is appreciated thank you?
