help 97 voyager stalls

I have a 97 voyager and the check engine light comes on and it smells like gas and antifreeze and bucks especially in reverse and when turning right then it progresses to just whenever im driving and then after a couple days of this problem when going i go down a hill or around a hard right turn it stalls it starts back up and heres the kicker if u pop the hood and shake the wires around sometimes the light goes off and it runs perfectly for a couple days and sometimes most likely when its raining shaking the wires does nothing....help im so confused
the code it is reffering to is a cylnder mis fireing
i brought it to a repair guy he says he thinks i have low engine compression could this be because i have loose wires and if i just have bad compression does it go away and come back i mean it will run fine for a week or two and then start doing this all over again

You should pull the code for the check engine light, then you'll at least know where to start looking. You should'nt drive it in this condition, you will no doubt cause new problems, if not fixed properly.

Whats the code? Your "repair" guy ought to know that the compression doesnt get better from shaking wires. Probably somethings loose or grounding out somewhere.Pull the code and write it down then we'll go from there.
