Is using an all purpose grease instead of Moly grease on the drive shaft fittings damaging?

Toyota calls for moly grease - use it on the appropriate fittings. It is a much better EP lubricant than standard lithium grease without the moly. Even with the moly grease there is a problem with the sliding joints sticking and causing a lurch in the suspension when starting from a standing stop with an automatic transmission. Lithium grease could only make it worse.
