"moly" luberunner97 10-05-2008, 07:50 PM Is using an all purpose grease instead of Moly grease on the drive shaft fittings damaging? 97 4Runner 94K miles Brian R. 10-05-2008, 09:30 PM Toyota calls for moly grease - use it on the appropriate fittings. It is a much better EP lubricant than standard lithium grease without the moly. Even with the moly grease there is a problem with the sliding joints sticking and causing a lurch in the suspension when starting from a standing stop with an automatic transmission. Lithium grease could only make it worse. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
