V230 poor running and noisy top end - any ideas?

Hi

Anybody have experience of this? I have a V230 that tonight started running rough, felt like poor fuelling, surging a bit etc. Gradually got worse over a few miles. Stopped at the side of the road, had a listen and heard a disconcerting rattle that was apparent between about 100 and 1500 rpm (it stopped over that)

On the way home it started to feel like it was running on 3 cyl.

Is it something to do with the timing? Fuel? Something broken?

Is this a common issue?

Any ideas would be great

Thanks

I had the same problem once but I went to the dealer and he sorted it out.
