I think you might find you have two separate faults.
The loss of intermittent wipe is likely to be within the multi-function switch assembly, which has multiple potential failure points - the switch contacts themselves, the interval rheostat, and the electronic timer circuit. You're replacing the switch anyway though, so that should fix it. If not then check out the one external item which could cause it, which is the dark blue/yellow wire running from the switch to the motor - an open-circuit or bad connection on that wire could cause it.
The lack of self-parking is likely to be a fault within the motor assembly, because the park switch is integral to the motor. Before replacing the motor though, I'd check that the ground connection is clean and secure, and do the same for the motor connectors, particularly the two ground connections. Also check that the wiper linkage is in good condition.
This is the
wiring diagram for the wipers, and these are the procedures for
multi-function switch removal and
steering wheel removal, and those are all for the '95.
I'm not sure if the steering wheel really does have to come off to remove that switch - I think I've read some posts saying it does, and others saying it doesn't. I'd try it first without removing the steering wheel, but either way before commencing any disassembly I'd disconnect the battery at the negative terminal and then give it a few minutes for the airbag backup power supply to discharge.
