valve train issue

I cannot get the tick out of my valves on my 22re 1989 4x4 yota.I have adjusted several times to the chilton specs.Could an adjuster be worn.I have also heard that a fuel injector will tick sometimes.any suggestions appreciated

The 22R valve train will always hve a "tick" to some degree, it's the nature of the beast. If it's a high mileage engine, it's bound to have wear, which will make it worse.
