1999 intrepid motor change

Hello. Here is the deal. I changed the motor 2.7 from a 1999 intrepid with a 2.7 motor from a 2001. Now it will not start. The only thing that is different with this change is, there is not a plug on the motor harness for the power steering. Anyway the motor will not run. It turns over strong. The guy I changed it over for sprayed some starting fluid in to the intake and it tried to fire. I beleive it is getting fuel. I can hear the pump come on when the key is turned on. I have know way to check the fuel psi. The only sensor that was toyed with during the change was the crank sensor on the flywheel gear. It was removed to save it from damage then reinstalled. There is not a check engine light on. don't know if there are any codes. Dont know what to do next. Any help out there, I need to get his car out of my garage. Thanks

Re: 1999 intrepid motor change

everything has to be plugged even it's the tranny just every thing if it was plugged in at first and now it's not. you have to see where that plugged from what you took moter from then you may have to change a part or two..

Re: 1999 intrepid motor change

Hello. I just wanted to post a message her that I got fed up with not being able to figure out what was wrong with this car. Took it into the napa garage here. They found that the cars crank sensor was bad. they changed it out for the guy that owns the car and it has been running for the last three weeks. I did go over the car and made sure that the all was pluged in. I would like to thank you for the reply help. This is a great place to find an answer.
