wheel cover (Elantra 2004)

Hi,

I need help in opening wheel covers. I have to know the procedure of taking off these covers.
I can see 5 or 6 'L' shaped clips touching the
wheel. They come out but the four nuts attached to covers are unable to open.
I can also see small rings with a little gap between their ends attached to the
these cover nuts. Do we need them to pry out ?

I would really appreciate if anyone could help me out in opening these covers.

Thanks

The hubcaps are held on by the black rings on the lugnuts. You will have to remove the lugnuts in order to take the wheel cover off. No way around it, unless you want to break it off.

Thanks for your response. The rings are very small. Is there any way / tool to remove the black rings ?

Thanks once again.

Once you take the lugnuts off you'll see how it all works. If I remember right the black rings are attached to the lugnuts themselves, and aren't that hard to get off if you want them off.

You will have to remove the lugnut in order to remove the black ring, it's not hard. However, if you take the black ring off, there won't be anything holding the hubcap on.
