2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo

The problem I have is I had a lug nut that stripped on the outside so I tried breaking/busting out the nut. I had most of it removed and couldn't get it completely off so I said the heck with it and tried breaking the stud off. Surprisingly I couldn't get it to break off so I drilled it out and tried splitting it. WHat I ended up doing was mushrooming the damn stud and now can't drill it out any further since I have broke drill bit ends in the center of whats left of the stud. Yah I know,:headshake what a mess. Now my thought is to pull the rotor with the wheel attached, but Im not sure if I would be able to get the brake caliper off in order to pull the rotor. ANy thoughts?

Yah, I should have attacked this another way but whats done is done.

if I freeze whats left of the stud should I just beat the damn thing thru?
Ihave an inspection coming up.....:banghead:

help....Thanks

The sort answer is, No. My suggestion is to find an experienced steel worker with a deft cutting torch and burn off the offending stud so you can remove the wheel. Once that's done you'll have several options to deal with the stud.
Obviously, you will need to protect the wheel surface from spatter, but the torch wielder can help with that.
Freezing will not work.

No the whell has to come off to get the caliper off.Another thing,do not ever use a shot gun get a stubborn lug nut off and a 66 year old man in Washington did this injuring himself up to the chin with buckshot.
