96 Suburban radiator leak, Repairable ?

My father-inlaw gets a small radiator leak after turning off the engine. It is 5.7l and leaks from the metal fitting about 2 inches below the upper radiator hose. I think it is the transmission cooler conection. The leak comes out between the metal fitting and the plastic side cap. Can it be repaired, and if so, how ? Thanks for reading my question, Dave

It sounds like the fitting for the trans cooler. The sure thing is to replace it

I have a 95, that I tried to to repair for months,
I finally ended up replacing it. the guy I got it from told me that the radiators were almost impossible to repair, because of the plastic

best to just replace it
