My friend just picked up a 97 prelude engine and dropping it in a 95 dx civic body..5 speed...could i beat him in the 1/4

No race teh Probe yet....put some work into it.
The best thing to do is wait it out. Learn how to work on your car first.

Autocross and attend track days, maybe even go as far as to get SCCA club membership.

Simply put, these are events that favor driving ability over car ability. They'll make a true corner carver out of you, and you'll learn valuable details about your car's tendencies. You're in Ohio, just as I am. You've lucked out, we're in the hotbed of club racing. Two great road courses (Mid-Ohio and Nelsons Ledges) plus SCCA sanctioned autocrossing at the Akron Goodyear plant.

Import and sport compact guys like us should forget about the quarter mile (well, I already have) and concentrate on the true strengths of advanced chassis, transmissions, and high revving engines: the ability to turn sharper and brake later.

Come on know, you dont need someone to tell you what to race. Just race anyone, if you lose, you lose no biggy.

I went to work and checked, we can get a turbo for your probe, but it's not cheep. I also checked on the popular body kits that I install and there are a few good looking ones you migt be interested in...LMK
