There is an annoying vibration at higher RPMs that persists even at a stand still in park or neutral. Is it likely to be caused by the torque converter? Any other suggestions or clues I should look for?

Many things can cause this, a cracked flywheel is common, also remove the belt/s and see if it goes away, bad trans and motor mounts another possibility.
