my friend was driving on the freeway and it make a ticking noise when accelerating and didn't accelerate and the stalled. now it wont start. changed the spark plugs and wires its getting spark and looks like its getting fuel, but just wont start. any suggestions?

Timing belt is likely broken.

take the oil fill cap off and crank the engine, with a flashlight look into the fill hole at the valve train. is anything moving? if not, you have a broken timing belt.
