Yes, I am a bit of a grammar nazi. To answer your questions, I will do so by asking another question: How long did the car sit? Was it for over 6 months? If so, you may have stale gasoline, water in the gasoline, or a carburetor in need of a rebuild. Removing the emissions to get it to 'run better' is the wrong way to go. Check all of your vacuum lines - every last one of them, whether on the engine or not - to make sure that they aren't bad. If you see one that has cracks in it when you flex it, REPLACE THEM ALL. Remember: Your car was designed to run with the emission stuff on it. Removing it doesn't make the car run better and it can cost you a $25,000 fine for breaking federal law. buick283 08-23-2008, 11:01 PM I'm sorry, I just have a hard time trying to make sense of a post that is 'non sequitur' - look that one up.
