The Cops are catchin onJezza 10-18-2001, 07:38 PM Even the cops know, to catch a criminal you got to think like a criminal - or drive the same car as they do :D In Australia, especially in cities of Sydney and Melbourne, the Rexy's are the car of choice for your average ram raider or getaway driver - uncatchable... until recently:eek: kris 10-19-2001, 03:24 AM Originally posted by Jezza Even the cops know, to catch a criminal you got to think like a criminal - or drive the same car as they do :D In Australia, especially in cities of Sydney and Melbourne, the Rexy's are the car of choice for your average ram raider or getaway driver - uncatchable... until recently:eek: hehe, good photochop. :) Jezza 10-19-2001, 03:28 AM Originally posted by kbslacker hehe, good photochop. :) I shit you not... this is for real in Australia:eek: Jezza 10-19-2001, 03:31 AM This is the NSW police fleet... check it out http://www.acay.com.au/~jbartok/nsw.html Jezza 10-19-2001, 03:33 AM Here's where I got the pic from... http://www.subaruwrx.com/news.html Twist 10-19-2001, 04:59 PM I agree that that would be freaky if the Australian police used Impreza's but the "Police" on the hood looks very suspicious. gang$tarr 10-20-2001, 06:55 PM that picture there you posted is soooo photoshopped... i'm not saying the police don't use them there but that picture you can tell so much, the police on the hood and on the side doesn't look right and also the lights on the top are at a weird angle they're not straight across like they should be Jezza 10-21-2001, 07:02 PM Now that you have pointed it out GS, with closer inspection, it does look like a photoshop job. But the others are definately not. But we do have WRX cop cars here in OZ... the best looking cop cars I've ever seen ( can't believe I like the look of a cop car:D). gang$tarr 10-21-2001, 08:37 PM Originally posted by Jezza ( can't believe I like the look of a cop car:D). you're not the only one! :D :D S Brake 10-22-2001, 06:22 PM Originally posted by kbslacker hehe, good photochop. :) no its not:rolleyes: 206wrc 10-24-2001, 02:09 PM looks a lot like a photochop...can tell that it is not an original picture even the first time looking at it... kris 11-01-2001, 05:13 AM Originally posted by snowboarder927 no its not:rolleyes: Um, before you roll your eyes at me, maybe you should take a closer look. :) SpeedSlayer 11-02-2001, 01:59 PM At first, it really didnt look like a photoshopped but then i looked at the lights like u said it HAS At first, it really didnt look like a photoshopped but then i looked at the lights like u said it [U]HASto be a photoshopped :smoka: ales 11-04-2001, 02:20 AM Originally posted by kbslacker Um, before you roll your eyes at me, maybe you should take a closer look. :) Kris, I think he was guestioning the "good" part... :) spurner 11-05-2001, 07:43 AM That pic is real, here they even use Legacy RS's!!! gang$tarr 11-05-2001, 04:22 PM Originally posted by spurner That pic is real, here they even use Legacy RS's!!! Mclaren F1 11-10-2001, 12:07 AM well if i got pulled over by a WRX copper i think i wouldn't even pay attention to the cop...i would just be staring at it the whole time, meanwhile he is cuffing me for not listening...... mincemeat 11-13-2001, 05:49 AM Originally posted by spurner That pic is real, here they even use Legacy RS's!!! Yup this was a real NZ cop car until they rolled it :( fearless_simian 12-30-2001, 06:15 PM also the lights on top are out of focus compared to the rest of the picture. sorry but cameras do not selectively fuzz certain parts of pictures that are at the same distance. oh well. On a particularily sad note about police though, here in the US many very fast cars that are siezed by tyhe police are either auctioned, which is good, or given to undercover and unmarked cops, which is very very bad. I have a friend who's father is undercover cop that drives a very nice modded mercedes. scariest of these cars that i have heard about was a jaguar that was rigged to run at night over the mexican border that had matte black paint, no headlights, and had nightvision built into it. now it belongs to a cop. border_project 01-07-2002, 01:02 AM hahah man i would like to become a police now that you can drive a wicked car. Oz 01-07-2002, 06:57 AM OK. Let's set a few things straight. I live in Sydney Australia. The NSW Police DID use Subaru WRXs as Highway Patrol and pursuit vehicles for a time a couple of years ago. A fleet of around 12. They have since been withdrawn from duty. The spate of ram-raiding WRXs and getaway WRXs ended with the fitting of immobilizers in the 1996 or 7 (can't remember) model. Before this, they were easily stolen, escaped, chopped, rammed whatever and even the police call them the 'stolen generation'. deadman 01-08-2002, 09:27 AM I see that photo in morpheus Oz 01-11-2002, 05:28 AM Whether the photos real or not is academic. The point is there were WRX cop cars in NSW. My mate got pulled over by one. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
