98 Sportage Fuel Tank

I was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a Fuel tank (besides going to a dealer). I live about 5 hrs from a dealer and we only have one parts store. I called all our salvage yards around and they don't have one. is there any web sites online stores?

Thanks

Re: 98 Sportage Fuel Tank

Salvaged Sportage fuel tank is probably not a good option....as this fuel tank is garbage. I saved mine last year..it had started leaking from the bottom....just to have the plastic pressure outlet blow out recently....I patched it with epoxy and will submit it to the recall (about the plastic fitting) at my local dealer...and will insist on applying the US recall about the complete fuel tank. I know some have had their fuel tank replaced here in Canada even if the dealers say onlt the plastic fitting is subject to the Canadian recall.
WIll keep you informed .
