Yes, make sure all connections are clean and tight, including grounds.
Check fuses behind drivers side kickpanel and under the hood.
Next thing would be to connect a wire to the starter solenoid and touch it to the batt to see if it clicks. If it doesn't it could be the starter, if it does it could be the ign sw or the wiring between the sw and starter (a fairly common problem in some years).
