I have a 4runner that has been sitting for quite a while. It has been several months since I tried to start it. When I turn on the key, all of the aux. lights come on, but when I try to start it, It doesn't turn over at all. It's as if the battery doesn't have any power. I've put in a battery from another car, and it does the same thing. What am I missing?

check all your connections and fuses for starters

Yes, make sure all connections are clean and tight, including grounds.

Check fuses behind drivers side kickpanel and under the hood.

Next thing would be to connect a wire to the starter solenoid and touch it to the batt to see if it clicks. If it doesn't it could be the starter, if it does it could be the ign sw or the wiring between the sw and starter (a fairly common problem in some years).

Turn on your head lights and have someone try to start it. If the headlights go out then you have a battery or battery connection problem if the lights do not dim then it will be the starter or ignition switch or any of the wiring in between.
As fourwd1 said run a jumper wire to check the iginition circuitry.
