Check your points and dwell. Look at distributor cap. Hook up your timming light to check. Also if you are using a Generator it might not be outputting, have it checked, same for alternator is you had it replaced/upgraded. Gas can go bad, 4 year old gas should be removed. It also has water in it so you should always remove it if you are storung the car for long periods of time. Pull apart the fuel line, make sure it isn't corroded from old gas and a rusting tank. I also installed a mirco filter before the fuel pump.
Sometimes I pour gasoline directly into the carbs, sometimes that super explosive gas treater. Also, when you pour oil into the cyclinders, hand crank it from the Fan to wear it in. Check gap in pugs and clean them off. Clean off battery terminals.

You seem to be going ok.... check the ignition again. Do you have the armoured cable coil? I've had a few problems with them. Are you sure you're making compression, original timing gears had one nylon gear and it can strip. Oh... it is "P" in the car name (actually yours isn't a P1800... it is an 1800S... symantiecs only)and "B" in the engine series. It could also be the fuel pump, pull the fuel line at the top of the forward SU. It could also be the needle valves in the carb fuel bowls. Hope some of this helps you....
