Question Tacomas rust easy?

One of my freinds had a tacoma and I noticed for its age it rusted really easy. We used to live in NY by the way so maybe that was part of the problem. But for its age it seemed to be rusting faster than many other brands of trucks. Anyone else notice this as well?

Re: Tacomas rust easy?

I live in North Carolina so rust isn't usaully a big problem here. It depends on where and how the vehicle is used. I haven't noticed any indication that a Toyota rusts any quicker than any other small truck. I believe the body panels on small trucks use thinner metal than those used on big trucks, that may explain why some small trucks rust quicker than big GM, Ford and Dodge's.
