hyundai elantra hard to start

car sometime hard to start after sitting over night has heavy fuel smell keep cranking and it will finally start car seems to be flooded.2000 hyundai wagon 50,000 miles.can anyone help thanks.

Well I would start easy and check the plugs and wires, make sure you are getting a proper spark to all cylinders.

Could be a fuel pressure regulator. They sometimes leak, and/or bleed back the fuel pressure, causing delayed starts.
