T56 tranny swap in a older car

Hello, I have T-56 tranny I am planning on putting in my '69 camaro, any pointers for a cheap conversion? I was planning on getting a adapter plate to mount to a older bellhousing. I also have to change the input shaft, I have rebuilt mant 4spd's but was wondering what is involved in changing the input shaft. Let me know if any one has done this. Thanks!!!

Re: T56 tranny swap in a older car

id use a complete style setup from a lt1 camaro, bellhousing and all, require some modification to the hydraulics but would be a nicer setup than a mechanical clutch linkage, use a LT1 clutch with a LT1 flywheel if your engine has a 1 piece RMS or if your engine has a 2 piece RMS use centerforce flywheel PN 700107, i know your looking to go the cheapest route, but i honestly believe this woul be the easier and more effective route.
