1988 Chevy C1500 break lights stuck on w/switch removed.

I have a 1988 Chevy C1500 that the break lights & the reverse lights are stuck on all the time. I have to remove the stop lamp fuse to get them to go off. I have replaced the turnsignal switch as well as the break light switch down at the pedal. Turn signals and running lights work but flashers do not. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

Welcome to AF
Get a 12 volt bulb type test light.
Check brake and reverse light switch for shutting off and working.
Make sure 4 way is not on.
Check wiring for shorted together some place.
Check for a shorted trailer plug.
Will they go out if you unplug turn signal switch?

No power at brake switch.
lights do go off when the turn signal switch is disconnected.
I removed the trailer plug & visually checked the wiring at the rear of the truck.
Where is the reverse ligt switch on this thing?

Thanks
Herrmy

Reverse and neutral switch on a auto transmission is made togheter on the lower steering column.
Unplug it and see if that helps.
If not get a good wiring diagram and do a pin out on power into and out of the turn signal switch and make sure the 4way is not stuck on.
Good Luck
