Unhappy Radiator Problem

My mother in laws 94 CIVIC LX (which I sold her) has a recent radiator problem.
It seems that everytime she uses the car the entire radiator is emptied out. However, when the engine is cold the radiator retains the fluid.
I think I have detected that it leaks out of the top (not the cap)
It seems to be leaking around the edge of the entire plastic cover where the cap is placed.
Is there a gasket or something that can be changed or does she have to buy a new radiator or is there a special sealant?
I´m pretty sure its not the water pump or anything becuase the engine and the hoses are dry when the car has been driven.

sounds liek a new radiator if you mean its coming out across the whole top of the radiator. but if you mean its coming out where you place the cap when the cap is on. try and get a new radiator cap cause they have a seal but if its missing or bad, it will leak

whats strange is that i had a new radiator installed in my 93 hb and it did/does the same thing. i took it to the mechanic and he pressure tested it twice (at least thats what he said) and it still leaks a bit, so i just dont fill it up all the way and its fine like that.

How much is a factory radiator new? If it's close to $300, might as well just get a new Fluidyne.
