I'm trying to find out the proper fluid to use
ATF? Dextron II or III? or "F"?

According to my FSM for the 94 it states Nissan ATF or Dexron II E or equvialent.

I also looked in my 94 Owners Manual and it calls for Motorcraft Mecron.

Also look in the free online service manuals and it calls for Mecron also.
