Wheel cover rattles 2005 Malibu

Is there a fix for rattles from plastic full disc wheel covers?
The plastic lug nuts will not keep the wheel discs from moving, causing a rattle over bumps. These plastic nuts are built into the wheel covers with a washer that allows tmen to tighten on the steel wheel nuts.
Thank you Stephen

The 6 things that hond them on are lose. Get another (they cost about $3each at dealer) and put them on. Or go to the junkyard and get another cover. POINT - although they look alike from the Venture minivan, etc., they are (fit) different.

Does the rattle you mention sound somewhat like a clicking sound? I have that (clicking) and a rattle from my front wheels when hitting bumps, potholes, etc. The service writer at the local dealership couldn't find anything particularly wrong or broken. It's annoying and somewhat loud (to me) but I have lived with it for a long time (I noticed it very shortly after purchase) until now when other things are starting to happen, like a/c, radio, auto lights, etc. failing all of a sudden (after barely three years). Mine's an '05 malibu classic. If it weren't so darned expensive, I'd get new rims and get rid of the covers just to see the improved look and hopefully get rid of the click/rattle in the process...
Any results to post on your issue?

I can understand a rattle coming from the wheel covers, but not a popping sound. Remove the wheel covers and drive it around. If you still hear a popping sound, check the C/V joints.
