94 Voyager brake light staying onraymarquise 06-25-2008, 03:52 AM The brake lights on my 94 voyager stay on after the engine is shut off. I think the brake light may also be on while I am driving, but I am not sure about this. I have to pump the brake pedal a few times to get it unstuck. I think it's the brake light switch sticking. I want to change it, but do not have a service manual to show me how. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Thanks. jpb53 06-25-2008, 01:10 PM I bumped the online service manual to the top. If you use it it explains how to replace your switch. RIP 06-25-2008, 01:30 PM If the Oplin manuals don't help, go here:http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c1528006692f It appears the switch is self adjusting. Bear 06-25-2008, 01:42 PM The online manual is OK, but, it is easier to push the brake pedal all the way forward and hold it , then rotate the switch about 30 degrees counter clockwise and it should come out. remove electrical lead and place electrical lead on new switch, pull the new switch plunger all the way out, push and hold brake pedal in and put the new switch in place (you can see how the index key on the switch lines up with square hole in the mounting bracket) once thee switch is all the way in, rotate it about 30 degrees clockwise to lock it in place and then gently pull back on the brake pedal until it stops moving (the switch plunger will ratchet back to the correct position in the switch). That should do it, have a cold Sam Adams for a job well done. raymarquise 06-25-2008, 03:07 PM Thank you VERY MUCH!! I followed your instructions and got it changed in a few minutes. Thanks again.
