how many coils to cut out of rear springs for a 1.5 inch drop

im helping my friend cut his rear springs on his 1993 740i and i want to know how many coils to take out i have done this before but i want to know if spring rates and things are diff on this car and how many coils to cut out thanks

Well, it seems like you know what you're doing...and if you know what you were doing, you would know how to figure that out...and if you knew how to figure that out, you wouldn't be stupid enough to screw with the springs in the first place and get yourself a real lowering kit with camber adjustments!
