Broken Downpipe

Today I was driving my 1999 GTP (104k) home from work when the car sounded like it dropped the whole exhaust system. After putting the car on ramps and looking at the pipes I see the downpipe broke right where it bolts in. Short of welding the pipe back on it looks to be done for. (Which I don't have the ability to do at home...)

I was wondering what anyone thinks about ZZP's downpipes. It looks easy enough to install myself, however is there anything I can put on the bolts to help take them off? Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Broken Downpipe

ZZP probably has the best downpipe you can get.

Re: Broken Downpipe

I've ordered the downpipe (plus the cat) to avoid any need for welding. However I went out yesterday to try to get the old pipe/gaskets off and the bolts will not move. After soaking the bolts with some liquid wrench and PB Blaster one of them finally came off (the front end). The others will move at all, even after the penetrating oil.

Would anyone know what else can be done to help take the old bolts out? I’d rather not start cutting things away and running the risk of the new pipe not fitting.
