Sputters at take off

I have a weird problem, I will try and describe the current problem.

A little background info.

97 Cherokee Sport, 150k. Auto trans. Had a cracked head, replaced with new rebuild head.

The Jeep starts fine and idles good. When I start to go the Jeep loads up then starts to sputter, for a few minutes then levels out. It seems like it maybe a fuel system issue. It is low on power.

I have a code but Autozone checked it and said it is because the battery was disconnect not too long ago, and it should clear. OK I will buy that.

I was going to replace the fuel filter until I was told it was in the tank.

Jeep has a new starter, alternator, head, plugs, wires, distro cap, air filter.

I am going to go clean the Thottle Body when I get off in an hour or so. I will also take a compression test. Short of that I really do not know what else to check.

I sprayed some TB cleaner around the hoses looking for a vacumn leak but did not find one.

How do I check the fuel pressure on this type of Jeep.

Any suggestions would be great.
