AC on engine races

97 S10 Blazer 4x4 4.3 Idle jumps to 1200 rpm when AC is turned on. How can i fix this.

Checked for vacume leaks. Everything check ok no leaks. Is there a some type of switch to raise the rpms for the ac when it is turned on.

You might try cleaning TBI and IAC valve.

And get a engine capable scanner on it and check out and test actual idle and desires idle iac and rpm readings.
