AF hates my computer? (ongoing)

I'm curious if anyone else has this problem or not, or whether there is a specific thing that causes this. It's absolutely possible that this is a problem on my end (I'm actually pretty sure it is), I'm just curious.

My problem is that when I try to Quick Reply to a thread, it just hangs and I get an error. But if I click the Go Advanced button, and then click reply, it immediately posts the reply.

Here's some more info that I believe may come into play in some way. I'm running Firefox 3 Beta 5 on Ubuntu Linux. I occasionally (maybe once every 5-6 months) had this problem, but I attributed it to a slow connection on my end of the AF server (again this is rare). But other than that I never had a problem with IE6, IE7, Firefox 2, or Firefox 3 Beta 5 on Windows XP.

Like I said, I'm just curious about it. Not a big deal, nothing that anyone needs to look into or anything.

Same thing has been happening to me and I do the same exact thing you do to get the reply to go through. I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.14 on XP I don't get the error message though, maybe because I don't wait for it to appear, rather I go ahead and hit the advanced button.

Well, at least I'm not the only one. Maybe AF just hates people in the Syracuse area
