2000 Grand-am driver window issuedre900 06-05-2008, 03:44 PM Hello my grand am is making a crunching noise when I put the window down and up and just yesterday it will not go back up you can hear the motor trying and grinding and some times jamming. I was told something about these little plastic tabs that break. Can anyone help me out with this much appreciated Thanks in advance adiosk8r91 06-05-2008, 03:53 PM All Grand Am's are notorious for the window motors, i've had to replace the driver side already and i have to replace the front passenger side, and rear-right passenger side xeroinfinity 06-06-2008, 12:45 PM Welcome to AF dre900. Yes regulator troubles are common amoung N bodies in general, could be various things going wrong too, not just those lift clips/tabs . Here is a link that shows how to disassemble the door/window. http://www.a1electric.com/grandam.htm You can find regulators on the internet for a reasonable price, those clips/tabs are pricey, dealer part if I remember correctly. Ok the part number for the sash clips is # 22689012 both 2 & 4 door models. Dealer part is $8.17 each, then you also need an epoxy sutable for glass. If this is the problem.... dgallo_2000 06-12-2008, 11:22 AM MOR ETHEN LIKELY IT IS THOSE CLIPS! THEY BREAK EASILY, AND THEY ARE CHEAP! iT IS ALSO REALLY EASY TO FIX YOURSELF.
