98 s-10 4wd module install

So I just bought a 98 v6 4wd s10 and the 4wd does not turn on. I went to the dealer and they said it was the 4wd module for the transfer case. So I bought it and now need to install it.

I poked around underneath for a little while but didn't see any harness on the transfer case. Any suggestions as to where it might be? Firewall Maybe, under the dash behind the ecu?

The last 4wd I worked on was a 88 Gmc Jimmy Full size and that was a little different. It had a real transfer case not this button operated stuff.

Thanks for any help you guys might have.

Re: 98 s-10 4wd module install

Welcome to AF.
What code did the dealer get or what did they say was wrong with the module?
What module did you buy?
The TCCM is center {dash} behind IP.
