2004 center console

I recently bought a 2004 police edition Impala that is missing the center console between the driver & passenger seats.

I found a salvage yard that says they have a couple of 2001's that might work. Anyone know if a 2001 will fit a 2004?

also, what were some of the things any of you police edition buyers did to "de-cop-ify" them.

I'm putting in a cheap CD player, taking the spotlight off, adding a spoiler if its cheap, and adding trying to find a center console. Additionally it looks like the trim on the side should be black to match the bumper trims ... its currently white. Do I find a replacement or just paint em?

The side trim is held on by 3m tape, which you can find at any auto parts store. Just peel it off and paint it.
