At a loss on this issue, I can start the truck but the truck boggs down when ever I push the gas. So I can only let the truck pull its self in drive. The foot pedel has pressure, I have a new Fuel pump and all the filters and screens have been replaced. I have checked the injectors and they appear to be clean and spraying with no drips.

I have replaced to TPS sensor and replaced the pcv valve and hose. Oil is good and at same lvl as last changed 2 months ago. Also checked all fluid lvls and they seem good.

All vac hoses look good and are less than 3 years old. Same with Distributor and all wires look good and less than 3 years old. Last full tune up was 2 years ago.

Check engine light is comming on when I press the gas. Then at idle it will go off after 15 seconds or so as long as gas is not pushed.

If I put very slight presure on gas it will sputter and sound like it is either floading out or not getting any gas.

No backfireing has occured.

Well sorry for the long post but wanted to try and be as detailed as possible .

Any help would be great

i would check the tps first but it sounds like a severly plugged catalytic converter to me. it can be work but if you dont want to pay a shop to check it i would unbolt the exaust pipe at the engine and pull it back to there is some clearance between the pipe and manifold and then try it out and see if it will rev up normally. or simply unbolt the cat converter and drop it down and try it whichever is easier.

Thanks its definatly worth a shot, will do it as soon as I get off Monday to see if thats it.

I had the pipes and muffler replaced when I bought it three years ago, but never even thought of checking the cat while it was all apart. When I had first bought it it was leaking exahust into the cab so gives me hope that could be the issue.

At this point figuring out the issue is the main thing.

I actually rebuild custom racing carbs all day for Holley but all these sensors and unneeded stuff really throws me off.

Also if that is the cause can the cat be by passed or should I get a new one?
The area I live has no emisions testing.

Thanks again

Can't revove Cat decause it has been wielded on, and having a hard time getting to the headers at the manifold.

Can I remove the 02 sensor to see if the hole were the O2 sensor was can relieve enough back pressure to determain if it is a clogged cat, and if so where is it located?

To check for restricted exhaust system.
Check engine vacuum at idle and at 2 K rpm.

If vacuum drops below idle vacuum at 2k you have a restricted exhaust.

Give us your vacuum readings at idle and at 2 K RPM.
