windshield vent

My grill on my windshield vent broke so i removed it and my kids put there Ipod up there and it went down the vent any ideas to get it out would be greatly appreciated.

I think that you are going to have to remove the crash pad to gain access to the plenum.once thers you can remove the defroster vents and grab the Ipod.

First thing I guess I may have misunderstood the "windshield vent". I assumed you were talking about the defroster vents at the windshield inside the car. If this is correct,then the vent area is part of the crash pad.The soft part of the dash. I guess you could have been talking about the vent openings between the windshield and the hood in which case the Ipod would be down inside the fender and probably junk if it has rained. If it is the crashpad, there are hex head screws along the top and bottom( it's been awhile since I took one apart, there may be a screw on each end that you will see with the doors open.)

Im sorry it is the defrost vents, something tells me this isnt going to be fun.
