Re: fuel pump

You will have to transfer the fuel manually, I use a drill operated fluid transfer tool/pump if I need to empty my tanks when replacing pumps or senders.

These pumps are around 20 dollars and it takes only a few minutes to empty a tank. Using this method lets you avoid the nasty taste of gasoline.

This is how I go about it, I am sure there are many methods out there, but this is mine.

Re: fuel pump

A little gasoline in the mouth isn't so bad. Just don't drink it. You'll live and you will save yourself 20 bucks to spend on mouthwash.

Re: fuel pump

If you are buying a fuel pump anyway just connect hoses to the new pump
and pump the fuel from tank to tank you will have to be creative with the pick-up. Use 14ga or larger wire to run pump from 12v dc.

Re: fuel pump

Just be careful as a leak and spark will start a fire.
